Red Bull's secondary Formula 1 team will be equipped with high-performance components from the title-chasing 2024 Red Bull Racing car, starting at the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix.
According to the respected Italian site formu1a.uno, RB's 2024 car is set to gain Red Bull Racing's latest rear suspension and gearbox components, bringing it closer to the specifications of the leading car.
The report indicates that the upgrade, which is fully compliant with Formula 1 regulations, could result in a performance boost of around a tenth of a second per lap.
The Faenza-based RB team, currently fielding drivers Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda, is embroiled in a close competition with Alpine and Haas for sixth place in the constructors' standings.
RB trails Haas, currently seventh, by just two points in this battle for a lucrative prize money boost.
Recently, RB team principal Laurent Mekies acknowledged the team's "difficulties in our car development that we hit in the middle of the season."
"It took us some time to digest that, understand, and eventually start fixing it," Mekies explained.
