Henrik Stenson will take a one-shot lead into the final day of The Open in a likely two-way shootout for the title.
The 40-year-old finished the third round with a three-under 68 after producing five birdies, leaving him with a 12-under 201 total overall to edge narrowly ahead of Phil Mickelson.
Mickelson broke records on his way to topping the standings after the second round of play at Royal Troon, but a couple of bogeys saw him slip behind on Saturday.
No male golfer from Sweden has ever won a Major championship, but Stenson - who has also never previously been out in front heading into the final round - could be about to change that following an impressive showing.
Bill Haas is the closest challenger as he sits six shots off the pace with six-under-par 207 overall, while Andrew Johnston is a further stroke back in what appears to be a two-horse race for the famous trophy.
Elsewhere, Rory McIlroy managed just two birdies to remain well adrift down in a tie for 18th position.
