Ernie Els has revealed that he is looking forward to defending his Open Championship title following Sunday's win at the BMW International Open.
The South African came out on top in Germany on Sunday with a one-shot victory over Thomas Bjorn.
Els, 43, is now excited at the prospect of competing at Muirfield next month.
"This is quite a week for me," he told Sky Sports News. "There were a lot of strong players in the field and I'm really looking forward to Muirfield now.
"When you get to my age, when you get a win, it's a wonderful feeling. Hopefully it gives me the confidence that I needed."
The Open Championship gets underway on July 18.
