Russell Henley has continued his impressive start to life on the PGA Tour with a round of 64 on day one of the Humana Challenge in California.
On a low-scoring day at La Quinta, three players returned bogey-free rounds of 63 with Roberto Castro, Jason Kokrak and James Hahn sharing the lead at the close of play.
Henley, who stormed to victory in the Sony Open last weekend, hit just one bogey to remain in contention for a second win in two weeks.
Four-time major winner Phil Mickelson struggled on day one and only managed to card a round of 72 despite the friendly scoring conditions.
