Rory McIlroy extends lead ahead of final round of Shanghai Masters

Rory McIlroy will head into the final round of the lucrative Shanghai Masters with a three-shot lead after shooting a third-round 65.

The Northern Irish US Open champion stands on 18-under-par after rounds of 64 and 69 to go with Saturday's 65.

The invitational event in Shanghai is not affiliated with any tour and does not offer ranking points but the allure is in the record-breaking £1.25m winner's cheque.
