Rory McIlroy to sign deal with Santander

US Open champion Rory McIlroy is expected to sign a new multi-million pound sponsorship deal with bank Santander, according to Sky News.

The Spanish bank already have a strong association with the McLaren Formula 1 team and drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

The 22-year-old will have the bank's logo appear on his clothing and is also expected to appear in a TV advertisement.

McIlroy will reportedly earn more than £1m annually over several years from the agreement.
