Adam Scott has claimed that it would be a dream to replace Tiger Woods at the top of the world rankings.
The Australian, who currently sits second in the rankings, could overtake Woods by winning the WGC-Cadilac Championship this week as long as the American finishes outside the top seven at Doral.
"Being world number one is more a dream than a goal," Scott told reporters. "It's something I told myself as a kid playing at Twin Waters or even younger in the street with a plastic golf club that I wanted to be world number one.
"I would love to be number one I think it can definitely happen and I think my game is not far from being number one in the world."
Scott would become just the second Australian after Greg Norman to be named world number one.
