John Senden shoots a first-round 66 to go two shots clear at the top of the Australian Open leaderboard.

John Senden has taken a two-shot lead after the first round of the Australian Open in Sydney.

The 41-year-old recovered from bogeys at holes two and three to card a six-under 66, edging ahead of a chasing pack of five.

Fellow Australians Kim Felton, Richard Green and Brendan Jones all finished on four-under-par, as did New Zealand's Gareth Paddison.

England's Justin Rose clubbed five birdies on the back nine to join them.
