Richard Sterne has revealed that one of his goals is to win all of South Africa's European Tour co-sanctioned tournaments.
The 33-year-old Pretoria-born golfer scooped the Joburg Open, South African Open and Alfred Dunhill in 2008, and hopes to add to his triumphs this year.
The Africa Open, which begins on March 5, the Tshwane Open and the Nedbank Golf Challenge are all on his radar.
"The 2015 Africa Open is at the top of my list," EuropeanTour.com quotes Sterne as saying. "Most people would think that kind of record is impossible, but I think it can be done.
"Ernie Els won his fourth Major at the age of 42, Darren Clarke won the Open at 40 and Miguel Angel Jimenez was 50 when he won his 21st title on the European Tour.
"I might be getting on a little, but I'm still way off the 40 mark and I am as competitive as ever. To win all five European Tour co-sanctioned events would be an incredible achievement, and it's definitely one of my goals."
No player has ever won all of the South African tournaments.
