Storms postpone World Golf Finals

Play has been cancelled for the day at the World Golf Finals because of storms in Istanbul.

Only the second round of group matches were possible in the Turkish capital before officials called a halt to the play.

Those encounters included a defeat for world number one Rory McIlroy and a victory for Justin Rose over fellow Englishman and Ryder Cup teammate Lee Westwood.

The final group games, which includes McIlroy vs. Tiger Woods, will now be played tomorrow morning. The semi-finals will then take place in the afternoon.
