World number two Bubba Watson pulls out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational following the death of a childhood friend.

Bubba Watson has pulled out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill following the death of a close friend.

Jens Beck, the manager of the two-time Masters winner, revealed that the friend had died suddenly on Tuesday evening and that the American had opted to attend the funeral.

The world number two informed the PGA of his decision on Wednesday and his place at the event will now be taken by Kevin Kisner, who has not finished in the top 50 this year.

Kisner will play alongside Brooks Koepka and Adam Scott for the opening two rounds.
