Jamie Donaldson victorious at Thailand Golf Championship

Jamie Donaldson claims a three-shot victory at the Thailand Golf Championship to lift his first trophy of the calendar year.

Jamie Donaldson has claimed victory at the Thailand Golf Championship by three shots.

The Welshman carded a final-round seven-under 65 to make up the gap on overnight leader Clement Sordet, which stood at two shots heading into the final day.

Sordet failed to build on his advantage at the Asian Tour event and experience eventually told as Donaldson earned his first triumph of 2015.

Lee Westwood and Sordet finished in a tie for second place, with both men - along with Thailand's Phachara Khongwatmai - joining Donaldson at The Open next year.
