Alexander Levy wins rain-affected Portugal Masters

Alexander Levy clinches the Portugal Masters after the final round is abandoned due to bad weather.

Alexander Levy has won the Portugal Masters after the final round was abandoned due to torrential rain in Vilamoura.

The tournament was dogged by bad weather across the weekend, leading organisers to call a halt to proceedings with just 36 holes played.

Frenchman Levy moved into a three-shot lead with a score of 18-under-par on Saturday as the players finished their rain-affected second rounds.

However, following a lengthy delay on Sunday, play was eventually called off with Levy still at the top of the leaderboard.

Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts ended the tournament second on 15-under, while Chilean Felipe Aguilar was among three players to post scores of 12-under.
