Russell Henley has won the Honda Classic after coming through a four-man playoff.
Henley saw off competition from Rory McIlroy, Ryan Palmer and Russell Knox with a birdie at the 18th, which was the first extra hole.
McIlroy hit a one-under 69 on Saturday to head into the final day with a two-shot lead. However, he made a bogey at the seventh on Sunday, although he was able to secure a spot in the playoff.
After a tense round of play, which saw McIlroy end up in a bunker and Palmer and Knox miss birdie putts on the 18th, Henley secured his second win on the PGA Tour.
"The crowd today was nothing like I've ever experienced and I wish I could play in front of a crowd like that every day. This isn't going to sink in for a while," Henley told reporters.
World number one Tiger Woods had earlier pulled out because of a back injury.
