Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson has claimed his first PGA Tour win of the year by sealing a one-shot victory at the Northern Trust Open in California.
The 37-year-old pushed on from his overnight lead by scoring birdies on the 16th and 17th holes, but Adam Scott and Jason Kokrak were not far behind.
Kokrak attempted to send the final round into a playoff, but he missed his birdie putt on the 18th hole by inches, meaning that Watson's par earned him a victory on 15-under-par.
World number three Rory McIlroy, who was two shots behind the lead at the beginning of the day, started strongly by shooting an eagle on the first hole, but seven bogeys later, the Northern Irishman finished tied 20th with a four-over-par for the round.
Scott and Kokrak finished joint second on 14-under-par for the tournament, while Dustin Johnson ended the round two shots behind in fourth.
