Brendan Steele tops the leaderboard after a shortened opening day at the Valeros Open in Texas.
Play was suspended due to darkness, but it was Steele - victorious here at the Texas Open five years ago - who finished on top thanks to a round of eight-under through 13 holes.

Only half of the field were able to complete the round at the TPC Oaks Course, though, as a three-and-a-half-hour delay caused by rain brought play to an early halt.
Charley Hoffman was among those to finish, carding a six-under 66 to leave him a stroke ahead of Peter Malnati and Stuart Appleby, the latter of whom ended his round with five birdies in succession.
England's Luke Donald also remains in contention after recording three-under par across 14 holes.
