Roberto Castro will take a four-shot lead into the third round of the Sanderson Farms Championship.
The American held the lead going into the second day following his 10-under display on the first round, and Castro quickly got into his stride by notching a birdie on the third hole.
Castro produced the shot of the day when he notched an eagle on the eighth, and he remained composed to fire two birdies to complete his error-free round of five-under, leaving the 30-year-old on 15-under for the tournament.
Bryce Molder and Jhonattan Vegas are four shots off the pace on 11-under for the competition, with Vegas producing a five-under round of 67 to close the gap on Castro.
Michael Thompson, Brian Davis, DJ Trahan and Patrick Rodgers are also in the chasing pack on 10-under, with Rodgers carding the round of the day due to an eight-under round of 64.
Rain brought an early end to the second day, with several players forced to complete their second round when play begins in the morning in Mississippi.
