Wallie Coetsee has extended his lead at the top of the Joburg Open leaderboard to two shots after recording a round of 70 on Saturday.
The world number 509 endured a mixed third round that included three bogeys, but a birdie on the final hole opened up a gap between himself and the chasing pack.
As many as 14 players are within four shots of the South African, with English duo David Howell and Steve Webster part of a quartet of players who sit in a tie for second place.
Nine players are a shot further adrift on 11-under par, with the likes of Andy Sullivan, George Coetzee, Thomas Aiken and Simon Dyson all in contention ahead of Sunday's play.
