David Horsey has claimed a one-shot lead on the opening day of the Made in Denmark event at Farso.
It was a superb start to the tournament for the Englishman, who recorded an eight-under-par 63 to finish the day one shot ahead of Oliver Farr.
Horsey appeared to be on course for a record-breaking round while on eight-under with seven holes to play, but a bogey halted his charge to end hopes of a 59 and force him to accept a slender advantage.
Paul Lawrie is two shots off the pace, while home favourite Soren Kjeldsen is among a group of seven players currently on five-under.
However, it was a frustrating opening day for defending champion Marc Warren, whose hopes of retaining his title were dealt a blow as he carded a level-par 71.
