Five players tied at top of early Indian Open standings

Richard T Lee cards six birdies in a round of 65 to take a share of the early Indian Open lead, alongside four others at the Delhi Golf Club.

Five players share the Indian Open lead on six-under par following the opening round of play at the Delhi Golf Club.

Canada's Richard T Lee is among those in the leading pack having carded six birdies in a strong start to the competition, while Shiv Chowrasia, Joakim Lagergren, Chapchai Nirat and Siddikur Rahman all also ended on 65 for the day.

The top end of the leaderboard is dominated by Asian players, with England's Matthew Fitzpatrick down in 15th place on two-under following a round which saw him hole five birdies, one bogey and two double-bogeys.

Meanwhile, eight players will begin round two tied on three-under-par as they attempt to close in on the early leaders.
