Ian Poulter has missed his second successive cut on the PGA Tour as he failed to make the weekend at the OHL Classic.
Injury has resulted in Poulter falling to 145th in the world rankings, and he faces a further drop after not making a birdie on his final hole in Mayakoba.
English compatriot Luke Donald also missed out on the final two rounds after ending Friday's play on five-over-par, but Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell narrowly made the cut by just the one shot.
American Gary Woodland leads the tournament by one shot after shooting a second-round 65, with Webb Simpson and Scott Piercy his closest challengers at the top of the leaderboard.
Scotland's Russell Knox is in contention in a share for fourth position, while Ireland's Seamus Power is in a tie for 11th spot.
