American Michael Putnam holds a one-shot lead after two days of the OHL Classic in Mayakoba.
The 31-year-old shot a seven-under round of 64, improving on his five-under performance from day one, to move into the outright lead in the competition at 12 under.
Compatriots Shawn Stefani and Jason Bohn trail Putnam by one shot at 11 under after they both fired rounds of six-under 65 to keep the pressure on in Mexico.
Ken Duke produced the round of the day as he moved up 41 spots into fourth place in the tournament with an eight-under display of 63.
Germany's Alex Cejka, Canada's David Hearn and the American duo of Nicholas Thompson and Will MacKenzie lie in tied-fifth place on nine under for the competition.
