Ryo Ishikawa has retained his lead at the Quicken Loans National in Virginia courtesy of a second-round 68.
The Japanese brought a share of the advantage into day two after he and Retief Goosen both shot 63 in Gainesville on Thursday.
However, Ishikawa established the outright lead with seven birdies in total as he goes into the weekend on 11-under-par, one clear of American duo Rickie Fowler and Kevin Chappell.
Elsewhere, Tiger Woods continues to climb the leaderboard as he chases a first PGA Tour win in just under two years this weekend.
The 14-time Major winner bettered his opening-round 68 with 66 on Friday to move three strokes off the pace on eight-under. It was Woods's lowest 36-hole total in two years.
Meanwhile, overnight leader Goosen endured a disappointing round of 73 as he slipped five behind Ishikawa.
