Charl Schwartzel has a five-shot lead in the Alfred Dunhill Championship following a second-round 67 in Malelane, South Africa.
The 2011 Masters champion, who was tied second with one hole left to play in the first round before lightning called an early end to the day, scored six birdies on Friday.
There was just one blemish in Schwartzel's round as he suffered a bogey on the seventh hole, but the South African is comfortably five shots ahead of four golfers who are sharing second spot at the halfway stage.
Yesterday's leader Christiaan Basson dropped to tied ninth, seven shots off the pace following five bogeys and a solitary birdie.
Schwartzel is 11-under-par for the tournament.
