Ondine Achampong wins silver for England in the women's all-around artistic gymnastics final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but Alice Kinsella finishes fourth.

England's Ondine Achampong added an all-around silver medal to her team gold in the artistic gymnastics at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The 18-year-old had finished at the top of the table with Claudia Fragapane, Alice Kinsella, Georgia-Mae Fenton and Kelly Simm in Saturday's team event, and both her and Kinsella made the all-around final.

However, both women took falls on their acrobatic series during their beam routines, which left Kinsella particularly distraught after she had also taken a penalty on the uneven bars for starting late.

Achampong recovered to post a strong floor score of 13.350, but it was not enough to usurp Australia's Georgia Godwin, who won the title with a total of 53.550 - 0.550 clear of Achampong's 53.000.

Kinsella won gold on the beam and bronze in the all-around in 2018, but the 21-year-old also took a fall on one of her floor tumbles to end up outside the medals in fourth with 50.600.

Canada's Emma Spence (52.350) clinched the bronze medal, and Wales' Poppy-Grace Stickler finished close behind Kinsella with a total of 50.200, which was good enough for a top-five finish.
