Team Wales gymnast Francesca Jones has expressed disbelief after her rhythmic gymnastics ribbon event gold-medal win at the Commonwealth Games earlier today, describing the feeling as "phenomenal".
The 23-year-old secured the first gold for her country after posting a score of 14,500 with her routine.
Jones told BBC Sport: "It is beyond words. I have had the most amazing few days, I literally can't believe that we just got to have the Welsh flag flying - it is phenomenal, I am so proud of myself.
"Everybody who supported me to get here - Sport Wales, Welsh Gymnastics, my coaches - they have been here every step of the way and I would not be here today without all of them."
Malaysia's Wong San Poh finished second, adding to her bronze medal in the hoop contest earlier, while much-fancied Canadian athlete Patricia Bezzoubenko secured bronze to go alongside her five golds at these Games.
