Team England's Ashley Jackson feels that his side were always in control of their clash with Canada in their victory at the Commonwealth Games.
Jackson scored twice along with a strike from Barry Middleton to hand England the victory and book their place in the semi-finals of the competition in their Pool A encounter.
He told reporters: "Canada are a physical side and the tighter they kept it for longer the better it suited them. A couple of early goals would have made it much easier for us but we were in control the whole time.
"You treat this game for what it is, the last group game, but at the same time it basically did not matter."
England could face Australia in their last-four clash.
