Great Britain's Dan Powell will fight for a bronze medal after winning his repechage contest at the ExCel Arena.

Great Britain's Dan Powell has the chance of winning a Paralympic bronze medal after defeating Brazil's Harlley Damiao Pereira.

The Brit, who is visually impaired, failed to reach the gold-medal match after suffering a disappointing defeat to Matthias Krieger of Germany earlier today.

Despite his earlier loss, Powell could still go home with a medal after overcoming Krieger with an ippon at the ExCel Arena.

Fellow compatriot Ben Quilter also failed to contest for gold but managed to win bronze in the -60kg.
