Jorge Lorenzo has won the 2015 Moto GP title after securing victory at the final race of the season in Valencia.
The Spaniard finished ahead of compatriots Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, beating Yamaha teammate Valentino Rossi to the title.
Rossi started the race at the back of the grid after picking up a penalty in the last race, but he charged through the field to move up to fourth, but he needed to finish second to overhaul Lorenzo's lead.
Pedrosa and Marquez closed in on Lorenzo in the final laps, with Rossi following closely behind, but Lorenzo had enough pace to hold off the chasing pack.
The title is Lorenzo's third in Moto GP and his fifth world championship.
