Luis Aragones tribute prepared for new Atletico Madrid stadium

The road leading up to Atletico Madrid's new stadium will be named 'Avenida Luis Aragones' in honour of Luis Aragones.

Madrid mayor Ana Botella has revealed that the road leading up to Atletico Madrid's new stadium will be named 'Avenida Luis Aragones' in honour of Luis Aragones.

Aragones, who passed away earlier this month, represented the capital outfit as a player between 1964 and 1974 and also had four managerial spells at the Vicente Calderon.

It has also been revealed by AS that Atletico's new stadium, which will be named 'La Peineta', will become the home of the capital outfit during the 2015-16 campaign.

Meanwhile, the new stadium is expected to hold between 68,000 and 72,000.
