Sir Stanley Matthews's FA Cup winner's medal has sold for £220,000 at Sotheby's auction house in London.
The medal is from the 1953 final, which is known as the Matthews final, and saw Blackpool defeat Bolton Wanderers 4-3 at Wembley Stadium.
The medal, which had previously been owned by TV presenter Nick Hancock after he paid £20,000 for it in 2001, was expected to fetch between £50,000 to £60,000.
At the same auction, Ray Wilson and Jimmy Greaves's World Cup medals were sold for £136,000 and £44,000 respectively.
