Bolton Wanderers announce plans to scrap their sponsorship deal with pay-day loan company QuickQuid.

Bolton Wanderers have turned back on their plans to strike a sponsorship deal with QuickQuid.

The Championship outfit previously claimed that the pay-day loan company would add their logo to the club's strip and training kit, but a negative reaction from supporters has forced them to pull away from the deal.

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside told the club's official website: "We have worked for years to build trust and participation with the community through our Community Trust, education programmes, and other initiatives that are currently underway in partnership with local and national government.

"We don't want our commercial relationships to come between us and our community, and neither does QuickQuid."

Bolton finished seventh in the Championship table last season.
