David Beckham's wife Victoria has revealed that the couple's young daughter wants to become a footballer when she is old enough.

The four-year-old is the only daughter of the famous parents, who have three sons - Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13 and 10-year-old Cruz.

In an interview with Good Morning America this week, fashion designer Victoria revealed that not only do her sons want to follow in Beckham's footsteps, but her daughter does as well.

"She loves fashion, you know, as all little girls do, but she loves sports," said Victoria. "She said to me the other day 'mummy, I think I want to play football' - dagger through the heart!

"I have three boys that want to play football, you know, come on, let one of them want to be into fashion or dance."

Beckham, who represented England 115 times, played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain during his career.
