Leighton Baines: 'My hero Bob Dylan's concert was emotional'

Baines: 'Bob Dylan's my musical hero'

Everton full-back Leighton Baines has revealed that his musical hero is American singer Bob Dylan and has insisted that not all footballers' taste in music is predictable.

The England international claims that he went to see Dylan in concert last year and admits that it was an "emotional" experience.

"To most people you say 'footballer' and the immediate reaction is the stereotype, the R&B and all the stuff that comes with it," Baines told NME magazine. "But It's not always like that."

When asked who his musical idol is, Baines said: "Maybe Bob Dylan. I went to see him last year with a mate. It was a bit like going to church, all-seated and no lighting. It was emotional."

Meanwhile, Baines is trying to claim a top four spot with the Toffees in the Premier League this season.
