Tim Cahill reunites with former Everton boss David Moyes in Shanghai

Tim Cahill reunites with his "true friend" and former Everton manager David Moyes in Shanghai.

Tim Cahill met up with his former Everton manager David Moyes this week while the Scotsman's current club Real Sociedad were in Shanghai on a pre-season tour.

The 35-year-old, who played under Moyes for eight years on Merseyside before leaving for the United States in 2012, watched the Sociedad players train in the Far East.

After the session, Cahill, who now plays for Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, happily posed for photos with Moyes before taking to Instagram to write: "Amazing to catch up with a true friend and someone that has always believed in me and supported me on and off the park DAVID MOYES.

"In football I have done ok for myself but I have to thank this man for always grounding me and guiding me throughout my career. Funny enough I turn up to training and seen Real Sociadad doing drills we did at @everton and it brought back some priceless memories haha. Good to catch up with the real Gaffer in Shanghai."

Moyes became Sociedad boss last year after his failed 10-month spell at Manchester United.
