Video: Romelu Lukaku apologises to fan after accidently hitting her with shot

Romelu Lukaku has personally apologised to a fan after his misguided shot accidentally hit her during a practice session at St Mary's Stadium.

The 22-year-old immediately climbed into the stand and jogged up a flight of stairs to hug the fan and see if she was okay, moments after the ball struck her.

The Everton striker was applauded by surrounding Southampton fans for his apology, while the Belgium international returned to the pitch to resume his training session.

The Toffees went on to beat Southampton 3-0 away from home on Saturday afternoon.
