Hoffenheim pair Tobias Weis and Tim Weise are fined by the club for reportedly getting kicked out of a carnival party.

Hoffenheim pair Tim Wiese and Tobias Weis have been fined by the German club for reportedly getting booted out of a carnival party.

Wiese and Weis, who are thought to have dressed up as a prisoner and caveman respectively for a party in Neckarsulm, are said to have been thrown out by security following an incident in the men's restroom.

"The two were asked to leave the venue," police spokesman Harald Schumacher told Bild. "Their behaviour was rude. Presumably consumption of alcohol was to blame. There will be no complaint."

Hoffenheim boss Andreas Muller later released a statement, according to ESPN, saying: "In principle, and even in our tense situation, we indeed understand our players have a private life and need to take one step back from the daily routine as a pro.

"However, Tobias Weise and Tim Wiese have definitely gone too far. They have ignored their function as role models. This cannot go without consequences. We need peace and concentration ahead of our next Bundesliga game against Stuttgart."

Hoffenheim are currently 16th in the league table.
