EA Sports has omitted Los Angeles Galaxy's David Beckham from a Major League Soccer-themed downloadable cover for FIFA 13.
The video game studio is holding a survey for fans to vote on which three MLS stars should appear on the US-exclusive cover.
Big names including New York Red Bulls' Tim Cahill, Marco Di Vaio of Montreal Impact and Beckham's LA Galaxy teammate Landon Donovan made the shortlist, but the former England winger did not.
Beckham's exclusion is thought to be down to licensing issues, though this has not been officially confirmed.
FIFA 13 is released in the US on September 25 and in the UK on September 28.
