Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard decided to spend the international break throwing a party at bar Prussia in Southport, Merseyside.
The midfielder retired from England duty in July after the World Cup following a 14-year international career.
While his former Three Lions teammates secured a 3-1 victory over Slovenia in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, Gerrard was accompanied by his wife Alex on a night out in Liverpool.
The 34-year-old posted an image of the couple to Instagram, with the message: "Having a lovely night with @alex_gerrard8 and all our family and friends at our annual party in @Prussia_bar_southport a great venue if you are thinking of throwing a party! Thanks to all the staff for making us so welcome!"
