Marketing experts believe that Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex will become popular figures in the United States when the Liverpool captain moves his career overseas.
The 34-year-old has announced plans to leave Anfield at the end of the season to embark on a new challenge in MLS.
Los Angeles Galaxy, who have Gerrard's former teammate Robbie Keane on their books, are currently the favourites to sign the midfielder on an 18-month deal in the summer.
Gerrard will be joined by his wife Alex and their three daughters when he makes the move, and the Daily Star reports that the footballer could make double his current £45m fortune in wages and commercial deals in the US.
Marketing expert Nigel Currie told the newspaper: "I think obviously there's great interest in the celebrity couple at the moment, and they would make big waves in America.
"Celebrity couples are just getting bigger and bigger, and on the marketing side of things it would be huge for them. People realise more and more the attraction of celebrity couples like Gerrard and Alex."
Gerrard has been a Liverpool player since he first joined the club at eight years of age.
