Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers: 'Visiting ill children at Alder Hey is a privilege'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that it is a "privilege" to meet ill youngsters at Alder Hey's Children's Hospital as part of their annual Christmas trip.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has described the team's recent visit to Alder Hey Children's Hospital as a "privilege".

The Northern Irishman and his players spent time with some of the ill youngsters on the ward as part of the club's traditional Christmas visit.

The players, including captain Steven Gerrard, and Rodgers handed out gifts and happily posed for photos during their stay.

"Our Christmas visits to Alder Hey are always very special and memorable," said Rodgers. "It's a privilege for the team to have the opportunity to meet with the children and their families to show their support."
