Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini has taken a step back from his coaching duties to mourn the death of his father.
The 59-year-old learned of his father's passing ahead of his side's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Borussia Dortmund this week.
Pellegrini flew home to Chile for the funeral following Malaga's 4-2 defeat to Real Sociedad on Saturday, and is expected to return for his side's European second leg.
The Spanish outfit drew 0-0 in the first encounter.
