Manchester City defender Courtney Meppen-Walter could be hit with a five-year jail term for admitting to killing two adults by careless driving.
The 18-year-old, who has yet to make his senior debut for the Premier League champions, pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of Kulwant Singh, 32, and his sister Ravel Kaur, 37, in a car crash last September.
The teen hit a Nissan Micra, which Singh was driving, while speeding in a Mercedes Elegance at 56mph in a 30mph zone, killing both adults and injuring the driver's two sons, aged 16 and 17.
Meppen-Walter, who had passed his test less than a year before the incident, will be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on February 28.
