The Open champion Rory McIlroy has been invited to parade the Claret Jug at Old Trafford next month.
The world number two, who is an avid Manchester United supporter, claimed the third Major win of his career at the weekend, and mentioned the club in his victory speech at Hoylake.
According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old will be invited to the team's opening match of the season against Swansea City next month to parade the trophy.
McIlroy's victory earned his father £180,000 on a bet that he placed when his son was a teenager.
