Liam Riley thumped a supporter of United's arch-rivals outside of Old Trafford before the Red Devils' 1-0 win over the Merseyside outfit in the Capital One Cup in September.

The 23-year-old was arrested by police after running off, and as a result received a five-year football banning order from Trafford Magistrates' Court.
