The escort who slept with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has apologised to his wife Coleen.

Jenny Thompson, who made the headlines two-and-a-half-years ago for reportedly having sex with the England international while Coleen was pregnant with their son Kai, has tried to make amends following the birth of her own child, Izabella.

"I feel a horrible guilt at what I did to Coleen," Thompson told The Sun. "At the time I justified it to myself as just a job, but I feel horribly responsible for tearing a family apart like that."

Coleen is expecting a second son with the United hitman later this year.
