Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has revealed that she almost ended her relationship with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady when she discovered that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant with his baby.
Actress Bridget Moynahan announced that she was carrying Brady's child in 2007, a year after the sportsman began dating Bundchen.
The supermodel is now stepmother to Brady's eight-year-old son John and the couple are parents to Benjamin, five, and two-year-old Vivian.
In an interview with Charlie Rose on CBS's This Morning, Bundchen said: "It was a challenging thing because here I am thinking I'm dating this guy and we met, and everything's great. And then this happens.
"I felt I didn't know what to do. It was one of those moments, do I just run away? And I think now, eight years later, I couldn't have asked for a sweeter bonus child.
"I think we've been through a few tough times together. That's when you know who are your friends, who loves you. My father always says, 'the quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships'. I think no matter how challenging it was, we've always been supportive of one another."
The couple got married in 2009.
