Former Newcastle United forward Faustino Asprilla has launched his own range of flavoured condoms in Colombia this week.

The 44-year-old is fronting the 'Tino' range, which comes in a variety of tropical flavours, in a bid to prevent AIDS and teenage pregnancies in the country.

Asprilla told a radio station in capital Bogota: "I'll recommend the guava flavour condom. When I was growing up, we had a guava tree in our garden and that's a flavour and aroma that's very good for romancing."

The retired footballer has also confirmed that he plans to sell the contraceptives worldwide.
