David Beckham backed by Hollywood producer to start acting career

Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein believes that David Beckham would be a success in the film and TV industry.

The 38-year-old recently announced his decision to retire from football, claiming that he has no intentions of moving into management.

"I have only met David a few times but each time I find his talents more and more impressive," The Sun quotes Weinstein as saying. "I am a real fan. I think he could do anything he wants in TV and film."

Meanwhile, Beckham has joked that he will keep his daughter Harper away from dating for as long as he can.
