David Beckham replaced by son Brooklyn Beckham in UNICEF charity match

David Beckham is replaced by his son Brooklyn Beckham during a UNICEF charity game at Old Trafford.

Sixteen-year-old Brooklyn Beckham came on as a second-half substitute for his dad David Beckham during a UNICEF charity match at Old Trafford this afternoon.

David laid on an assist for Paul Scholes during the first half to put Great Britain and Ireland ahead against the Rest of the World, but he came off during the second period and was replaced by his son.

Both players wore the number seven shirt and David was soon back on the pitch as he then came on for Sol Campbell.

Brooklyn was playing at right-midfield ahead of his dad, who slotted in at right-back for the final few minutes of the game.

The GB and Ireland team triumphed 3-1 as Michael Owen netted the other two goals for the home side, while Dwight Yorke scored for the Rest of the World.
